I have a "dbuser" set in wp-config to connect to a mariadb.
However I noticed a ton of queries for "SELECT option_name, option_value FROM wp_options WHERE autoload = 'yes' coming from the "root" user, the number of those queries flooded the DB to the point the site was inaccessible.
My research shows that the query itself is generated on every pageload.
My question is, why would "root" access the DB when a "mortal" user is set in the wp-config?
