After a recent DoS attack on our server, we had to revert to an earlier backup. Things were a bit shaky as we got everything straightened out, but the site appeared to be operating fine until today. When I logged in today, Wordpress informed me that the database needed to be updated. After doing so, almost our entire order history disappeared!
Furthermore, it asked me to update the database AGAIN, and when doing so it erased even MORE of the order history, so that now only a handful of the over 25,000 orders are showing.
It also seemed to delete our existing woocommerce pages, and I had to recreate them, if that helps in determining what the problem is.
We are running an older version of Woocommerce 2.0.20 due to some dependencies on plugins that will not work on newer updates.
This is a disaster of cataclysmic proportions for us! What happened? Can it be fixed? Do we need to revert to a backup AGAIN?
